About Me...
My name is Carrie Leung, NP (Nurse Practitioner), and I am the sole injector and provider at Lux Tox Aesthetics.

Many of you will be new to me, as I recently relocated to Utah from California toward the end of 2025 with my husband and our little dog, Rosie. I’d love to share a bit of how I came to be here.
I was born and raised in a small rural town in Wisconsin. I have one younger sister, also a Nurse Practitioner, who still resides there, along with most of my family. In 2012, I made the decision to move away — nervous but determined — knowing I could always return home if needed. Once I left, I never looked back.
My nursing journey began immediately after high school. I graduated early and completed a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, working in a hospital setting on an Orthopedics/Neurology unit while pursuing nursing school. I worked full-time throughout nearly all of my education — something I admire in hindsight, though I’m not sure I could do it again today.
While completing my nursing degree, I attended a program that allowed me to sit for boards after the first year and become an LVN, followed by earning my Associate’s Degree in Nursing. After passing my boards, I worked as an LVN in a rehabilitation and long-term care facility, including dementia care units.
I later moved to Minnesota, where I worked at an outpatient surgery center in preoperative, postoperative, and pain management settings. This experience introduced me to a new side of healthcare and deepened my appreciation for procedural medicine and patient-centered care.
When I relocated to California, I continued my education by obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree online while working at another outpatient surgery center in Campbell, CA. There, I expanded my clinical expertise in perioperative care, pain management, and procedural sedation, including endoscopy.
Throughout my career, I consistently balanced working clinically while returning to school to advance my education. I ultimately earned my Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Saint Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine. During this time, I was also trained as an operating room nurse — all while working full-time.
While my true passion was always aesthetics, my first role as an NP was within an orthopedic practice in Campbell, CA. This experience allowed me to further refine my diagnostic skills, surgical assisting abilities, and overall clinical judgment — all of which strongly influence how I practice aesthetic medicine today.
I continue to assist surgeons in the operating room while also managing Lux Tox Aesthetics. I value the balance and precision both roles require, and how they complement one another.
After years of discussion, my husband and I decided to move outside of California and ultimately settled in the South Jordan area. We’ve loved building our life here and becoming part of this community.
At Lux Tox Aesthetics, I offer a carefully curated menu of services including Botox and Dysport, dermal fillers and dissolving, PRF/PRP for facial rejuvenation and hair restoration, exosomes, medical-grade skincare (SkinMedica and Epicutis), Kybella, Upneeq, Nutrafol, Latisse, chemical peels, and microneedling with customized enhancements.
My focus is on personalized, tailored treatment plans designed specifically for each individual. I take pride in educating my patients, spending time with them, and ensuring they feel comfortable, informed, and safe throughout their experience.
I am especially passionate about achieving natural, refined results. In an industry often influenced by social media and unrealistic expectations, I believe aesthetic treatments can — and should — be performed safely, tastefully, and subtly, enhancing your features without ever overdoing them.
On a personal note, I married my wonderful husband, Chris, in September 2023. He works in finance, is an incredible cook, and keeps me grounded with his patience and support. We love traveling, hosting friends, and sharing meaningful conversations. Our backgrounds are very different — Wisconsin meets Hong Kong — and that contrast is one of the things that makes our relationship so special.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read about my journey. I look forward to welcoming you into my space and getting to know you during your visits.
Thank you for your trust and continued support — it truly means everything.
